The Lockdown Lodge was started by Minna Hughes, after her gap year travelling was unfortunately cancelled. Not one to sit around and do nothing, and inspired by her Grandpa's motto of "there's no such word as can't", The Lockdown Lodge was born! We're offering takeaway food and drink as well as a fine-dining experience run in collaboration with celebrated chef and restaurateur, Jimmy Garcia.

In Summer of 2011, Jimmy opened his first restaurant concept in his living room in Balham. Since then, he has gone on to cater at events and special occasions around the world including Henley Royal Regatta with his namesake catering company and has launched a series of sell out seasonal pop up restaurants year on year. A big part of his mission is to always work with local seasonal produce wherever possible to show how much more flavourful it tastes

'A Taste of Henley' by Jimmy Garcia at The Lockdown Lodge at Hambleden Lock in Henley highlights the abundance of delicious food in the surrounding Henley-On-Thames. Guests will be offered a five-course tasting menu feast featuring the best local offerings.

We're serving locally-sourced alcoholic drinks, proper coffees, delicious takeaway food like burgers for that well-earned reward at the end of your walk and we're thrilled to have chef Jimmy Garcia on board in our pop up restaurant three nights a week too! All our takeaway food and drink is served in fully compostable containers to minimise our impact on the environment.

We are open for coffees from 8am, all day everyday. Street food is from 12pm to 11pm no booking required.

'A Taste of Henley' by Jimmy Garcia at The Lockdown Lodge has capacity for up to 35 guests to enjoy lunch or dinner on the terrace with social distancing between the tables and uninterrupted views of the river and surrounding countryside to enjoy.

Enjoy the view of the lock and surrounding green space. Our menu is £49.50 per guest with one sitting at 7pm. Limited dietary restrictions can be accommodated if you inform us in advance when making the reservation.

On Sundays we are keeping it simple and opting for a more "casual" approach to lunch. Steak Frites as our friends across the Channel would call it.

'A Taste of Henley' Restaurant by Jimmy Garcia is open Wednesday - Saturday with one sitting at 7pm.

There is also an opportunity to host small outdoor weddings, birthdays and celebrations of any kind should you wish to hire out the space.

You can find us tucked away beside the Hambleden Lock 8th - 31st August, 8am - 11pm 7 days a week.
Access is by boat, bike or foot.
Hobbs River taxis will be running between the Red Lion Lawn in Henley and The Lockdown Lodge on the hour throughout the day or through prior arrangement for the evenings. Some parking can be arranged for the supper club.
We would recommend parking in the Mill End car park (approx half a mile) or parking in Henley (approx 2.5 miles) and taking a stroll up the river.
Please do not park at the Mill or Hambleden Marina as parking is strictly for residents only
There are several great walking routes of varying length and difficulty around us.
